  • ACE DC TEAM wins 1st place at CIRT-ACE design competition
    Congratulations to the ACE Washington Lee High School team from Arlington, VA for winning 1st place in their design category and  2nd place overall in the nation at the 2012 CIRT-ACE Design Competition. Judging of the final competition took place May 1st at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Washington DC.

    This is only the second year Washington Lee High School has participated in both the ACE Mentor Program and in the CIRT-ACE Design Competition. Last year, the team won 1st runner up in the preliminary round of competition.

    Students comprising this winning team included presenter Tyler Laredo, Geoffrey Odlum, Josie Butler, Niti Paudyal, Andrew Auchter, Matthew Tatum, Ryan Pederson, Aaron Patron, Sarah Gaines, Jonathan Mejia, Juwan Cephas, and Dario Mitchell. The team is led by Tony Maida and his exemplary group of mentors from Jacobs Engineering.
